OWN YOUR SHAPE!
The MoveMeant Project is a Company which offers workshops which specialise in Authentic Movement Practice!
We're branching out and introducing a Movement/Physical Theatre Company in partnership with The Movemeant Project Lab.
In the meantime, please feel free to look at our Movemeant Lab facilitators, and their experience.
The Movemeant Project website is currently going through a re-branding.
We're scheduling a new 'Movemeant Lab' in collaboration with the Movemeant Company.
Please feel free to get in touch with us to ask any questions. You can also subscribe to our newsletter and we'll be emailing out some upcoming workshops, and auditions for our new company.

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Attendees are encouraged to come in with an open mind and be open to exploring and learning a new approach to movement and also be open to learning and embracing new discoveries about themselves in a safe space. Some sessions can be quite emotional.
Nothing to prepare! Just bring your lovely selves and plenty of water. Be in clothes that a freeing and comfortable to move in, and that you don't mind getting sweaty in! We work with/on the floor, so be prepared to be rolling/moving around the floor.
We'll be systematically working through these skills/practices to share and discover new and different ways to move and access the Kinesphere. There is no 'specific project', specifics will come from you. The sessions are designed for you to explore movement and welcome the opportunity for self-discovery and build confidence and connections.
Absolutely not!
Our sessions are for everyone no matter their age or experience with Movement.
All ages are welcome to come and explore!
*Some sessions may explore some challenging content, but those particular workshops will be advertised with an age recommendation, e.g. (14+) - it's at the persons discretion if they would like to take part.*
These sessions cover Movement from various Movement Practitioners.
These practices have been used, adapted and evolved over the years to help actors understand their own skeletons to maximise their scale of movement in performance and occupying space, be that for stage or screen. Movement study and practice can also help them understand and adapt their skeleton to one that feels more appropriate for their character(s).
EXCELLENT QUESTION!

We prefer attendees to work barefoot. It's important to us that people feel fully grounded and connected to the Earth.
We tend to not allow socks during the workshop as the Movement involved can be quite rigorous and we wouldn't like anyone to slip on the studio floor.
OUTDOOR FOOTWEAR IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO.
- This is to avoid outdoor contamination/dirt entering the space where we'll have close contact to the floor.
